May 4 Challenge

I have made another YouTube lesson for you! This one is all about musical form to the song Who Let the Dogs Out?
If you are looking for the music be itself, please use this YouTube video of Who Let the Dogs Out because it is appropriate for school. Make sure you minimize the video so that you are not distracted by the images. You just need the music.

April 22 Challenge
For Grade 3 and 4 Students
The Royal Canadian Air Force (RCAF) Band (who are based out of Winnipeg) recorded the song Lean on Me by Bill Withers. The musicians recorded it from their homes because they are practicing social distancing during the COVID-19 Pandemic. The song gives a message of hope and support during this time. Listen to the song below and then complete the 3 question worksheet.

April 20 Challenge
For Grade 3 and 4 Students
Today's challenge is musical form using the song we learned in class, "Bow Wow Wow". For this lesson you will need to gather paper, pencil, and 4 "instruments" from around the house such as KD (shaker), frying pan (metal), woods spoons (wood), yogurt container (drum). The handout from the lesson is located below the video.

April 9 Challenge
For Kindergarten, Grade 3 and 4 students
Today your challenge is o make a non-pitched percussion instrument. There are four different instruments to choose from: shaker, rain stick, tambourine, or a den den drum. Watch the video for the instructions.

This is a Cup Song Game that is set to music by Anna Kendrick. Watch the video first, then watch the "how-to" video. Practice slowly many times and speed up gradually. Once you've mastered it, send a recording to Mrs. Clyde!
